As midweek gigs go, things don’t get much bigger than this – one of the hottest bands on the planet right now (and Brixton’s very own) Fat White Family will return to the intimate local live venue that has supported them from day one – The Windmill – on Wednesday night (17th February).
Fresh from releasing their second album ‘Songs For Our Mothers’, the Brixton Buzz favourites embark on a UK tour which sees them drop in on Brixton this week for a packed out (sort of secret) gig that promises to go down in Windmill history.
Tickets go on sale at 1:30pm today (Monday 15th February) and are sure to sell out in minutes.
The Fat Whites are supported by another fantastic South London outfit, Pit Ponies – cantering out of Deptford with the kind of catchy tunes that will have you humming their choruses days later.
Both bands have bolted from the stable of Trashmouth Records, a brilliant local independent label discovering some of the best new bands around at the moment.
Trashmouth regularly host live label showcases at The Windmill and are well worth a look in for their roster of voracious noise mongers.
Fat White Family, Pit Ponies and Shame DJs play at The Windmill, 22 Blenheim Gardens, Brixton SW2 5BZ on Wednesday 17th February (from 8pm onwards). Tickets go on sale at 1:30pm on Monday 15th February and can be purchased here.
